Introduction to Megalis D Tablets
Megalis-D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is a combination medicine containing tadalafil 10 mg and dapoxetine 30 mg. Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction, while dapoxetine is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used on demand to help manage premature ejaculation in adult men.
Tadalafil helps increase blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which can support an erection. Dapoxetine works through serotonin pathways in the nervous system and can help improve control over ejaculation. Because the two ingredients have different effects and safety considerations, Megalis-D should be used only when treatment with both medicines is considered appropriate by a healthcare professional.
Megalis-D can be taken with or without food. Sexual stimulation is required for tadalafil to produce an erectile response. Do not take more than one tablet within 24 hours unless specifically instructed otherwise by a healthcare professional.
Uses of Megalis-D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet
- Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
- Management of Premature Ejaculation (PE)
How Does Megalis-D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet Work?
Megalis-D contains two active ingredients that work through different mechanisms.
- Tadalafil: Tadalafil inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). During sexual stimulation, this helps maintain levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), promoting smooth-muscle relaxation and increasing blood flow to the penis. This can help support an erection.
- Dapoxetine: Dapoxetine is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It increases serotonergic activity in the nervous system and is used on demand to help improve control over ejaculation in men with premature ejaculation.
Sexual stimulation is required for tadalafil to produce an erectile response.
Megalis-D combines tadalafil and dapoxetine to address erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation through different mechanisms. Individual responses vary, and the medicine should be used only as directed by a healthcare professional.

How To Manage Side Effects
Use Megalis-D only as directed by a qualified healthcare professional. Do not increase the dose, take additional tablets, or change how frequently you use the medicine without medical advice.
How Often Can Megalis-D Be Taken?
Megalis-D 10 mg/30 mg is intended for on-demand use before anticipated sexual activity. Do not take more than one tablet within 24 hours unless specifically instructed otherwise by a healthcare professional.
Warnings & Precautions
1. Not Intended for Daily Use:
- This medicine is meant for occasional use before anticipated sexual activity; do not take it more than once in 24 hours.
2. Nitrates:
- Do not take Megalis-D with nitrate medicines or nitric oxide donors. Tadalafil can significantly increase the blood-pressure-lowering effect of nitrates and cause a potentially dangerous drop in blood pressure.
3. Heart and Cardiovascular Conditions
- Tell your healthcare professional if you have heart or cardiovascular disease, have recently had a heart attack or stroke, have unstable angina, uncontrolled blood pressure, or have been advised to avoid sexual activity. Your cardiovascular health should be assessed when appropriate before using tadalafil.
4. Mental Health and Fainting History:
- Tell your healthcare professional if you have a history of psychiatric disorders, fainting, or other conditions that may increase the risk of dizziness or loss of consciousness. Also provide a complete list of medicines you take because dapoxetine can interact with medicines that affect serotonin.
5. Alcohol:
- Avoid alcohol while taking Megalis-D because it may increase dizziness, impaired alertness and the risk of fainting, particularly because the product contains dapoxetine.
6. Driving and Operating Machinery:
- Megalis-D may cause dizziness, blurred vision or reduced alertness. Avoid driving, operating machinery or performing activities requiring full attention if you experience these effects.
7. Drug Interactions:
- Tell your healthcare professional about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines and supplements you take. This is particularly important if you use nitrates, alpha-blockers, antidepressants or other serotonergic medicines, other PDE5 inhibitors, or medicines that may affect tadalafil or dapoxetine levels.

- Store Megalis-D below 30°C or according to the instructions on the product packaging.
- Keep the tablets in their original packaging, away from excessive heat and moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
