How Does Paclitax 300 Works?
Paclitax 300 mg Injection contains paclitaxel, a chemotherapy drug that works by stopping the growth and division of cancer cells. It belongs to a class of drugs called taxanes, which interfere with the normal function of microtubules, essential structures needed for cell division.
By stabilizing these microtubules, Paclitax prevents cancer cells from completing their division, leading to their death. In addition to stopping cell division, Paclitax also disrupts other cellular processes necessary for cancer cell survival.
It is particularly effective against rapidly growing tumors, making it a key treatment for various cancers, including breast, ovarian, and lung cancers. The drug is usually given as an intravenous (IV) infusion under medical supervision, often in combination with other chemotherapy agents.
